The New Barrel&Binder Scoring System

With the Revamp of our site i figured the rating system could use a little revamp of its own. the 1-100 raking system was functional but it lacked a few noticeable things that some of our readers pointed out. Mainly how the final score was tallied and the weight of some of the sections (a cigar that had a bad 1st and 2nd third would do very poorly due to the score being held down by multiple low numbers that were affected by the same this ie taste )

the old ranking system was an average score of all 10 categories with our new system we made it simpler to see where a cigar shines and where it doesn’t the new system creates a cumulative score of all 8 new categories each category having a maximum of 10 total point a cigar can win (except for flavor that is the most important one after all)

With this new and improved scoring reviews should be easier to understand and more approachable for people just getting into the hobby. but that’s enough talking check it out for yourself!
